Google maps now has bicycling turn-by-turn directions. Perfect for people who like to bike and who hate/are prone to getting lost (*points to self*). I played around with it a bit and found it gives some questionable directions (you aren't technically supposed to ride in Boston Common, right?), but for the most part it's a good step in the right direction.
